About Us...
We are a regular family who keeps and breeds Siberian Chimpunks, not a Pet Store or Wholesaler. Our animals are our pets first and foremost, and we love them to death! We do not or will not "Line Breed" or force our animals to breed like rabbits at the expense of their own health. We will not let an animal leave our care that we are not 100% satisfied that it is hand tame and will be a joy to own.
In the Beginning...
It all started back in 2006, our Son saw a Siberian Chipmunk at a local Pet Store. The Owner said it wasn't for sale as it was really tame, and she was going to keep it for herself. After much negotiating, we took our new pet home and did everything wrong from housing it in an aquarium to feeding. Sadly, our new found friend suddenly passed unexpectedly 3 weeks later, as did it's litter mate from the same store. It is our belief that they were too young and not weaned from their mother, therefore not ready for solid food. We studied everything we could find from books to the internet to see if it was something we had done wrong, and in the process fell in love with Chippies. Flash forward several years, lots of money - time - and patience, and Got Chippies was born in hopes of educating and helping others with Chippies.

Finally made some free time to get a detailed diet / nutrition / feeding page up and going. Sorry for the delay, much to do and so little time. Should be done in the very near future, updates almost daily.

Well it's TRUE! We drove approx 500 miles round trip and met a very nice Gentleman (Thanks Bill!) and returned home with 5 new members of the Got Chippies family. Our own proven female Dilute White "Tippie" has decided to start chirping and appears to be in heat at the site of the new Male. Fingers Crossed we should commence breeding SOON!

After much searching (since July 2007) we have found some new Chippies to add to our colony! If all goes well we will be picking up an adult pair of Dilute Whites, a one year old pair of Dilute Whites (brother / sister), and a one year old Agouti female.

Happy first birthday to our February 2007 litter of babies! 4 of our special little guys are out there in the real world with happy new owners. 2 boys are still here with us, they are almost full sized now and are virtually sexually mature. Fall 2007 litter of babies?
We had hoped to have a litter this Fall (2007) but as of yet no one is pregnant. Best guess would be babies in the Spring of 2008, either way we will keep you updated here first!
Got Chippies first litter!
February 2007 we were the lucky recipients of 6 bouncing baby Chippies! 3 were girls, and 3 were boys. We kept 2 of the boys as pets / future breeders and the other 4 have already been traded / sold and delivered to their happy new owners!
